AI Voice Engineer

Your Role

At Coorpix, we design and build production-grade AI systems used in real-world environments. Voice is a core capability of our platform, enabling software to conduct real phone conversations autonomously.

We are looking for an AI Voice Engineer to design and develop high-performance voice agents capable of real-time, multilingual, and highly natural conversations. These systems rely on tightly integrated speech processing, telephony infrastructure, and large language models to understand and generate text with minimal latency, high reliability, and production-grade robustness.

This role sits at the intersection of applied research, product engineering, and AI systems architecture, focused on building and operating the core systems that enable real-time conversational interaction.

You will work directly on developing advanced voice agents capable of understanding and speaking multiple languages including Swiss German with near-human fluency, responsiveness, and reliability in real-world deployments.

Your Responsibilities

‍

‍‍• Design and build real time voice agents that autonomously conduct phone conversations

• Develop and optimize streaming pipelines across speech to text, language model inference, and text to speech

• Build and integrate telephony capabilities for outbound and inbound calls using SIP RTP WebRTC or telephony providers

• Implement call control logic including call state handling routing timeouts busy signals and voicemail scenarios

• Own latency and responsiveness across the full stack including streaming strategies and inference optimization

• Build multilingual voice systems including Swiss German with high conversational quality

• Implement turn taking, interruption handling, and barge in behavior for natural conversations

• Design scalable systems capable of handling many concurrent calls with predictable performance

• Build production ready observability for voice systems including monitoring tracing and incident oriented metrics

• Apply security and compliance requirements to voice data handling, transport, and logging

• Collaborate closely with AI engineers and infrastructure engineers to deliver robust end to end systems

Your Profile

‍

• Strong software engineering skills in Python and experience building production systems

• Experience building real time systems with strict latency targets

• Hands on experience with speech recognition, speech synthesis, or real time audio processing

• Hands on experience with telephony or real time communication systems such as VoIP SIP RTP WebRTC or comparable stacks

• Experience with streaming architectures and low latency data pipelines

• Experience with distributed systems and scalable infrastructure for concurrent workloads

• Experience working with modern AI systems and language models in production settings

• Strong understanding of performance engineering, reliability engineering, and operational robustness

• Ability to take ownership and build systems end to end

• Fluent in English
